I had a mate doing a clean out and he came across this, so I bought it from him.. it looks original (but also looks like it may have been copied?) - I wasn't around in the 60s to know what the print press was like.. Either way, I don't mind if it's original or not, but it's just cool to have. Appears to be 1965 release for the deluxe possibly? Also appears to have a Sunset Red on the back page which from what I can tell was 1964 colour only. Just sharing for randomness.. I can't say that I have seen this article before. ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() Sent from my SM-G960F using Tapatalk |

Thanks for sharing. I think there's a scanned copy in the Brochures folder - viewforum.php?f=32 |

Maybe a rag doll with blonde hair and a red hair tie thingy? |

If there was a kid holding it then it might make more sense. Also the poor woman in the back in the other picture, looks like her face is slammed into the glass. ![]() |

haha I thought the same about the lady in the second pic. Cornering hard on hydro! I really like that red colour, I can't find sunset red in the colour charts in the how-to section though, unless its not an Australian colour? |

Possibly Royal Red. It's the early red on the Deluxe. There is also a chance that they might have used an older colour on the brochure, they often use pre-production cars in publicity photos as they are shot in advance of the model release. |

There is also a chance that the amount of money used to produce the brochure or the printing shop capability didn't add up to a proper rendering of the available De Luxe colour palette! ![]() |

Love all those old brochures. Wonder where they put the skis though? They look longer than the mini! |

I agree, I love the old Australian BMC and Leyland brochures and adverts, They are as good as and often better than the competition at the time, some are very very clever. They won a few advertising awards I think. |

Love the shot of the Mini cornering. Concentration of the drivers face, mouth opened of the front passenger in fright, and the young fellow in the back, head squeezed against flipper window. Priceless!! |
