I'd never ever seen one of these things before, it was a Leyland Maxi 30.

On Pennant Hills Road tuesday morning around 9am.

Decal indicated it had a 1750cc engine... like a more modern version of an Austin 1800.

From the front just looked exactly like a Leyland Mini, but bigger, same style grill lights the lot. Very interesting motor car.

Yerp...that austin rover site i posted above knows what they are talkngi about...greatest austin or rover model of all time, according to votes on their website is.....*drumroll* The mini! It says the look of the roundnose is timeless, and that the clubby looks fab too for the same reasons. It says the mini is not style it's just as it is therefore it doesn't ever look out of date. I agree!

Fantastic car, my Dad had one and I learnt to drive in it, brilliant, 1275cc, 5spd box.

Also started going out with my girlfriend (now wife) when I used to borrow the maxi, the back seats fold fully flat so there is room to lay down in the back  aahhh good times!!

Apologies to the guy driving the Maxi 30, i nearly ran into him cause I was staring in amazement at it! Lucky I didn't run into him, i'd say panels would be hard to come by!

Were you in a mini? As in that case he would have understood. 8)
