Saw this today on my trip to launceston..
Had to stop and have a close look.
Is it genuine?
Seems to have all the numbers..
Noticed it was missing the front strap under the bonnet slam panel and not the original flares (these were screw on)..

I know that car I belonged to a friend up here in Bris. I did some wiring modifications and tidy up on it a couple of years ago. It should have headlight relays, Fusible links and one of My Bosch planetary geared starter motors on it. It used to have a Generator but I fitted the alternator too. I actually still have Photos of the wiring Job. It is a nice car. It has a newly rebuilt engine and gearbox and my friend hardly used it in the couple of years he owned it so it is probably still running in.
PS I think the fan is on Backwards.

a buddy of mine checked that out in detail and sent me photos including all of the numbers, it's a really bad fake - laughably bad

Cooper (non-S) ID plate, I'm not up with cooper numbers, but I think that's too many numbers for original Australian. And the dodgy 1/65 stamped on it too

Deluxe body (M205) with extra (dodgy) stampings

the ID plate is there in your first photo, just in the wrong spot (it's above the booster)

lol. Not a genuine ID plate at all.

EDIT, The scratches on the plate still doesn't convince me that its 40 odd years old.
Poor attempt.

Now what are those fraud rules again? Opens can of worms.
