Wrecking yard on right as you drive into Pt Wakefield (H'way 1), can't miss it, it covers about 2 acres or so, and easily seen from the main road. Mini was at the front, and also visible from road.

So yeah i drove out there is the sun in the mini with no airconditioning, sat behind a big truck most of the way on 110kph, not really safe don't reccomend it...

The bloke at the wreckers was a bit of a knob so i just took some pictures, didn't get one of inside but it really just is a bare shell.

don't think the body has been lowered it is clear to see where the pillars have been chopped and welded, but no such markings in the body,

there is rust bubbling out from everywhere, i think this shell is right where it should be... at the wreckers,

Well there ya go. Big effort driving up there in the mini - well done. I agree about what you thought of the bloke at the yard - I was asking him questions and he just walked away while I was still looking
Anyway, you've had a much closer look than I did (I had people with me and couldn't hang around too long) and I reckon you're right too about where it belongs - especially with a $1k ticket on it!
Cheers
Peter.
