An EV VW seen in Burnie, Tasmania. A 15kWatt electric motor would have even less power than the original engine. I hope that it charges with more than the solar panels otherwise the range would be very limited. Dave D |

Ok its a beetle. Ok its the enemy, but at least its not a crappy new vehicle with a cvt. How did you find out it was only 15kw Dave? |

I'm going to throw a cat among the pigeons and say that I cannot wait to convert my van to EV when the kits are a good balance of performance vs cost. Scream sacrilege, purists, go for it! |

I am envisaging an original 850 Mini with 34hp (35 kw) in deadly battle with this at one of the few traffic lights in burnie. |
