Just got back from 3 weeks in Chile, and spotted around a dozen minis in my time there - these are the only ones I got pics of. The following sad example I found in Arica, Chile (Google earth it). Arica is the driest city on earth, and as it turns out used to have a BMC plant that built fibreglass minis. ![]() ![]() http://www.austin-rover.co.uk/index.htm?chileindexf.htm ![]() It's used as a promotional tool for a nightclub, and being parked outside the club has inflicted some wear and tear on its LHD interior. ![]() Check out the anti-theft device attached to the rear! ![]() Size comparison with the LT1200 we were riding. ![]() I snapped this blue one in Temuco, Chile (this town is featured in the movie "Motorcycle diaries") ![]() The only mini related part of the following pic is that the road to Patagonia is littered with Mini friendly roads. ![]() ![]() |

Yeah I did visit a number of the cities featured in the movie, however I went by plane / car most of the way and didn't win at the casino. ![]() I actually watched The Motorcycle Diaries for the first time whilst I was staying the desert over there, and thought it was great. |
