ok so niether are minis but the thing is both are brand new vehicles!!!



The car is the Hindustan Motors "Amnassador"... first built 48 years ago and produced today exactly the same but for a deisel engine.!!! The other thing is an Autorickshaw (taxi) and this is the newest, cleanest, shiniest example i could find... more common types have wobbly wheels, are more rust than vehicle and are covered in dings and scratches... but they are fun to get around in once you have knocked the price down from 200 rupees to 20 or 30!!

Yeah I saw these mid last year when I went to India. They are the national car there and they are of a BMC design (hence the similarity).

I can't find my post now (too long ago, maybe on the old Ausmini forum?) but I vaguely remember saying that these apparently can be bought brand new off the showroom floor and extras include with leather seats, power windows, aircon, power steering and wait for it, dual airbags!
