Spotted several times this morning on the way to work - Flemington Road, King Street, Kingsway, Queens Road.

Pulled up beside each other at the lights in King Street and acknowledged each other with smiles and thumbs up. We got a few double takes from Joe Public - not often you get two Minis together in peak hour echoing their rumbles off the big buildings.

Very original Mk II Cooper S (or an extremely good replica). Looked like it was straight out of the showroom. Can't remember the name of the colour, dark blue/green/grey with white roof (sames as the one that was used by VicRoads in their number plate adds a couple years back)

Must have been me. Indigo blue. Its a Mk 1.5 but is genuine. All matching numbers, even got the original plates back on. Mk 1 engine and box (3 synchro) and Mk1 heater etc. etc. Still work to be done. Yours looks great. Was it you that had an accident recently in another mini? Davo111 showed me a pic. I follwed a BRG rover mini to work and then you home after nightshift. Cheers, Jim.

Very nice machine. It was the plates I used to "date" it - I have a 1970 van with "KP.." number.
