This morning in the ute heading to a job i saw a mini on a trailer aswell as other classics being towed. So i figured GEARS must be having a meet at QLD Raceway. And i was right. :D 8)
Just so happens that a job was in the general direction of the raceway, so i spent my lunch watching a mini, mgs, a loud as hell jag, a turbo charged E type jag  , rovers, bmw, holden, amoungst others.
Mini driver was Dusty Rodes and was doing 1:20 laps. Standard 1275, deluxe shell and twin tanks.
Bloody good Lunch. :D

Hi Matt,
Golden Era Auto Racing.
Apparently you can join GEAR Club and participate in track days for a fee.
Only open to cars of a certain age. eg, pre 72? Can be daily driver 8) Gonzo :D
Very considerate racing, no passing on corners, only on the straights and most passing was done with the leading drivers signal to do so.
So being very keen to participate i started looking for GEAR info but couldnt find anything apart from track dates :x

Contact your local track...they can tell you when the GEAR days are on and who to contact

Good fun GEARS days - but check who is bringing what - you dont want someone bringing a 7 litre Galaxy and taking all the track ( as happened to me :x )
