I guy came into work today with his recent purchase of a light blue Mini city that I have wanted to buy for quite some time off the little old lady that brought it to Aus with her in the early 90s. She was the second owner but last time I talked to her she didn't want to sell it.
He came in to ask about fixing a little bit of rust around the front screen and I asked him how much he paid and he said "I paid a fair bit for it" then I said "so how much?" which he replied $2000!!!!!!!!
I told him he got a TOTAL BARGAIN as it only has 48000 miles or so on it.
Now wish I'd made a move on it again.
Anyway I told him he should join this site and gave him the address.
Phil

You should have told him it will cost him $5K to fix all the rust, but since you are a nice bloke you will give him $2K for the wreck. :P

I actually fixed the rust around the screen at work yesterday. Wasn't too bad only had to put in a couple of little plates and some die grinding, etc.
Paint on the front is pretty flakey though and came off with the tape I was using to protect it from being burnt
