I got spotted by a guy in a dark blue Bini on Portrush rd at 7:30 thismorn.

It's a rare thing here, bini drivers never notice old minis.

Mate, I always wave to old minis if I'm driving the bini - it's amazing how many of them ignore me though. By the same token, I wave to binis when I'm in my old mini, and get no reaction either, or very very rarely.
Very occasionally I'll get a wave from another bini when I'm in my bini, but nearly always when it's old mini to old mini.
I think I covered every scenario there........

No - I do!
I wave to them too (and include them in my definition of "minis").

Last week I stopped for fuel at a BP and parked next to a red Bini with a union jack roof.

I was in my red Mini also with a union jack roof. I gave him the thumbs up, he did have a quick look at my car but didn't thumbs up back or anything.

I think they are just rude, they bought a car because it looked 'cool'. Bini owners who also own a Mini, usually first are a different bunch again.

You would be hard pressed finding a Bini driver that knows what a Moke is let alone one that will give you the "OMG your in a 'Mini' thats so cool" recognition...

Mind you i was in the Suzuki and beeped and waved at someone in a light blue Mini the other weekend and THEY snobbed ME..!!!
