On se7en Two as I write.........Inspector Cleasau of the Pink Panther breed of movies.......his car is a roundie with the wicker style of paint work on the sides. I think this particular car is at the Beaulea Motor Museum in the UK. There's also a Corgi scale model car with this paint job. Might have to get that one now I've actually seen the car in a movie. Found it on the Corgi site, here's the link http://www.corgi.co.uk/shop/440/morris- ... ards--mini Hooroo |

Peter Sellers was a big mini fan and often had mini's customised to his tastes (ie 3-door hatchback etc). I wonder was this one of his personal cars used in the movie? He certainly had a mini that had wickerwork applied to the sides but from memory it was one of the early 850's I think. KB |

There were several cars used in that movie depending whether it was filmed in France or England. This explains the sliding windows that appear and disappear! If you look closely Peter Seller's part changes from side to side. One car was RHD and another LHD so they reversed the film to cover it up. ![]() The "proper" one, with the leccy windows ended up in California, then was rediscovered and came back to the UK in the last 5-10 years.
