I'd heard it meant Donkey before... I think I heard it on here. All they've done is gone to Wikipedia - and Wikipedia has links to three books which claim it's an archaic word for Donkey...

I believe the newsletter on the moke forums is called the 'donkey mail' or something to that effect.
