Never remember the NSW cops having yellow clubby vans back in the 70s, but saw one in an old DVD of Wollongong the Brave. It had driving lights, and the police sign with blue light and 4 sirens on the roof crossbar, and the rear windows were glass. Stock wheels. Interesting |

That would have been an escort vehicle. Back then all wide or long loads had to be escorted by the Police so they set up a special section with Minis to do the job. |

It's in the Farrelly brothers when they are singing "Ive been everywhere man" (Wollongong, Wollongong, Dapto). Also there's a civvy white mini van shown a few shots before that. Enjoyed seeing the cars as well as the classic tv shows...... |
