Engines imported from England all had a plate riveted to the block with the engine number. Our regs require the number to be stamped on the block, so the plates were removed and the number stamped directly. I'm surprised the plate is still with the car.. that'll be a rarity. |

The engine number plates were supposedly tied to the oil pressure pipe or somewhere else on the front of the motor after they had been removed. There is a chance that a very well kept car may still have the plate. |

I have a Rover Mini and it has an engine number plate and has passed rego for the last three years with no problems at all. Cheers Pete |

This car is/was Keith? Wrights car. He had it at the muster a few time a couple of years back, always trailered. Very nice car though. Steve |

I love it, but could you be the first one to drive it in the muddy paddock of a mini event? I'd be too scared to take it anywhere, and scrubbing wheel guards out after a drive isn't my thing. I would probably just build a coffee table around it.. |
