You never said that you wanted to make a good impression.

The Soldiers Club (rissole) is crap!
The Paragon is good but it is not that good. It is too noisy and plain if you were trying to impress.
There is "The Fireside Inn" but I have never actually been there.
Also there is another one opposite the park on the main drag called "Infuse" or something like that.
The Golf Club is supposed to be good.

I wall ask around at work.

Of course....the Paragon Milk Bar...forgot about that....might be alright.

Infuse sounds very latte trendy...might be OK

Fireside Inn sounds cosy! maybe not in the middle of summer!!
