There's a story to that Pic Mick. Is this what you know?
I'm pretty sure it was Ray Kaleda's Clubman Lynn was trying to pass for quite a few laps. Losing out on the straight.
Then, going into the last lap, in the darkness of Robin Orlando at the end of the straight, Ray was mysteriously punted off the circuit.

The flare was handed over by a flag marshall on the slow down lap.
You could almost read the clubman's spare wheel tyre size on the front apron. Unfortunately ended in an exclusion from the results.

A common occurance in the days when he drove a Simca against the Humpies.

Yep...I remember reading about the "incident".
