Drab Olive driven by a large hairy man in Hi Viz vest who (to his credit) refused to answer his Mobile when called!

I saw a few Gear cars in town today.
I am too frightened to visit Elwin. I am frightened that I might breathe on something the wrong way and destroy perfection.

I don't take my personal phone to work. It is a distraction that I try not to encourage. I have to set a good example for the troops seeing I have moved up in the ranks.

Last time I was up there he had a F5000 (actually a Formula A) car, it was an American tube frame chassis, it might have been a McKee or something like that. The MJM chassis is heavy duty by comparison.

Elwin's Formula Ford chassis were always a neat, pretty chassis. I would feel dirty taking something rough like the MJM to him. :lol:

Is your name "Private Number?" I know you worked in defence but I didn't know you were still a Private. Yep...thats me...after 40 years working in Defence only attained Private rank equivalent....GEAR was good, Elwyn's workshop fantastic

I need to visit Elwin and see if he wants to do some chassis work for me. Would he stoop to repairing a Formula Vee chassis?

If you aren't in a hurry (at all) you could bring it to sydney to see Ivan. He builds and races Cooper Climax's and Bristols. Now that has to be the coolest car i've ever sat in.
