The Trekker is based loosely on the Kubelwagen the Germans used in WWII. So it pre-dates the Moke by quite a margin. :)

A friend of mine has the 1st built vw country buggy, that looks very much like a moke too. He said the moke was the downfall the country buggy as it was nearly half the price of the buggy when they were new.

I was admiring the thing when the kid in the front seat threw his Macas rubbish and drink container out the window as we were going through a section of Noosa National Park - flashed my lights but he ignored it.

He won't be able to ignore the fine but!
