If your talking about the car on the left, it looks more like a Renault 4 to me?. Don't think it is a Mini!. Ash |

Interesting statistics below for the road toll, I always felt that I survived the 70s because I was in a mini which handled and stopped well? By 1970 the road toll had increased to the highest mark of 3,798 deaths. The number of fatalities per 100,000 people also peaked in 1970 at 30.4. The road toll in 2003 of 1,633 people was less than half the 1970 figure, while the number of fatalities per 100,000 people (8.2) for 2003 was less than a third that of 1970. |

Looks a bit big for a mini, compared to the green XA Falcon backing out of the parking spot! I remember the road safety slogans around that time, "get the toll below 1034" (or something like that) but the 1034 was the number of people killed on Victorian roads in one year, it seems a huge number compared to these days but overall the roads were worse and no speed limit, I guess there are some advantages to living in a Nanny state. |

I reckon the road toll went down when they stopped their kids from lying in the street, especially when reverse cameras didn't exist!!. Ash. P.S. was a good guess on the Renault 4 hey!. |
