Ohhhh Philip island would be the last place I would want to be this weekend in melbourne... Pretty sure the dark side of the moon would be warmer.

Ballarat had snow on friday... and a frost but then sun today...
now its freezing as all hell outside...

The dark side of the moon is sounding better all the time.... at least it would be dry!

I think I'd rather snow then to be standing in pits at Philip island with that wind off bass straight.

It was a good weekend for Intrepid, even if the results sheet didn't seem to say so. Everyone went home with smiles on their faces and cars in one piece!

I totally forgot that the event was on. I would have come down to help or at least watch.

Cars all intact, - good way to end a weekend! Thanks to BKozan for helping out. Apart from a cool wind (racetrack by the sea, who knew..) the weather was actually pretty good.

The event itself is brilliant - it's run as a regularity so there is no need for a roll cage etc and you only need a L2S licence. Grab your Mini, put some numbers on it and some decent tyres and have a go. Minis have been quite successful there, top of my head there has been at least 3 wins in the 9 years of the event.

Oh yes. There's no way I'll miss it next year. And if the Mini isn't ready, I'll hire a Civic and throw some belts in!
"No sir, I swear the brakes were squealing like that when I left the airport yesterday..."
