That is a very nice looking spoiler. Like the MINI cooper s one, makes the car look loads better, but no one is sure why.

That a really nice spoiler tricky i really like it.

How did you bond it to the car? I'm just worried about it cracking, don't wanna ruin that nice new paint job now.

Cheers Dan

Hi Dan,

I used Sikaflex for the actual bonding to the bare metal.
I will then go over it with a layer of epoxy and microballoons to fill in and round the joining lines. Its the same method I used for the rest of the body kit as well.

I bonded the old spoiler to the roof with Sika and I swear to God I could have lifted the arse end off the ground by the spoiler and it wouldn't have come off!

Cheers,
Tricky

Tricky what you have done sounds pretty good to me, i don't think it should crack.

Yeah that Sikaflex stuff is the best it sticks to anything and everthing. We used to use it at work on everything.

How long now man till she is ready for paint.

Cheers Dan

Ready? Don't they just become jesus let's get it in there while the painter says he can paint it?? The car is never ready but it'll do and even then the painter always takes for ever...

So do I Dan.

Yes, he keeps a current portfolio of the cars he has done, and he does a very good job by all accounts. Mind you the Mini will be a bit more challenging with what we have proposed, but he is keen and up for the challenge.

Hi Dan,

Yes by all accounts he has a very good reputation - fingers crossed.
With regards to the doors, yes I got them all working properly except the drivers side lock is ratshit so if anyone has a spare one of those I would be mighty grateful to take it off your hands for a price.

Anyway, its hot. Damn Hot!! Finally finished up the exhaust today, so now it is fully complete from one end to the other - yippee!! :D Its now a full 3" all the way through.

Dump pipe fully complete up to the 3" cat and with new stainless steel flex
Image

O2 sensor tap is in
Image

In position and bolted up - ground clearance is about the same as the rear cannons
Image

Joining onto the rest of the exhaust at the 3" cat
Image

And for those who forgot what it looked like at the ass end, her ya go

More later,
Tricky

(Did I mention its HOT??)
