Hi ojmini,I got it through minisport in adelaide, cost an arm and a leg
about $2'500 with hubs, disc's,KAD alloy 4 pot callipers, shafts, bearings etc.
I think minisport have their our callipers now so it might be cheaper
Also if you 're patient you could hunt down the bits on E BAY and get it a lot cheaper, but my spare time is very short so i pay the price for convenience
cheers Hallsey

Hi guys, It's been ages since an update so i thought i better keep
you up to date.
The kids MX racing is finished for the year so i have my weekends back
and some cash for the mini
It doesnt look like much has happened but i suppose i've progreesed a
fair bit. I pulled out the subframe again to weld in some tabs for the
brake hoses etc

Then back in again so the engineer can have a look. On the subject of
engineers,i've changed engineers due to circumstaances i wont comment
on. My new engineer is Frank Fordham, the same one mad morrie is using
and he seems very helpful and even a bit excited about the build

Hey Hallsey, looking good there mate.

Frank seemed like a nice enough bloke, and every time I called him he was happy to talk for half an hour or so about things relating to the build. He was hard to get hold of for a while there (working away from home I think), but my build is progressing so slowly that it hardly mattered.

What radiator are you plnning to use? That seemed to be his biggest beef with my build in the end. Maybe it was just the one that annoyed me the most, cause I had just spent $300 bucks on a re-cored rad that he reckoned wouldn't be up to the task.

Who is doing your welding? Mig?

I'm just stick welding mine but will probably get someone else to do the final welds since I'm not trained or anything.

I still have that intercooler cover, but it is cracked so it may not help you. Anyway, yours is looking tops, can't wait to see it on the road.

The filter location looks bang on the same as the 5 or so I've seen Pubs.

Woops photo's didnt work ,must have been half asleep (as ususal)

Tricky : Icant wait either, I'm "toeier" than a tiwanese thong factory

Badassmini : Thanks mate, i'm reasonably happy with it

Madmorrie : Yeah Frank seems pretty excited about it all,the first visit
went pretty well, he mentioned the rad and i just said i was going with
a custom alloy one and he seemed happy with that.
I"ve pretty much tacked everything with a mig at home, but its a cheap
crap one . we have a big ass mig at work and one of the guys i work with
is a certified welder so he done it for me.
I would have done it myself (at work) but after i was reading your page
when Frank said about getting someone else to weld it, i thought i"d play
safe and use Paul (and his ticket)

Pub : Our subframe designs are a bit different , maybe thats it,or photo angle? As JC said it has the oil reloctor on it too

cheers Hallsey

Looking great there Hallsey!

Your welding is looking top-notch too.

Not long to go now eh?

Cheers,
Tricky

will the efi rover tank pump enough pressure to supply the fuel rail? or will you be running a secondary HP fuel pump?

I was just going to run the Rover pump on my car along with a regulator. I guess we'll see if it works soon....

I have no idea what the Rover pump is rated at, but you are going to take the pump from a car with less than half the power and possibly quadruple the power the last thing you want is for the fuel supply to lean out.

Especially for a second hand unknown condition pump.

What's ~$150 for a new Bosch fuel pump?

I'd personally look at using the Rover pump as a sort of surge tank scavenger pump that would feed a secondary more beefy pump.
