Fark - coming up to six-plus years!!!

Thats like jail-time!

And you're right Dicko, I had started by then and The Cat (well it wasnt The Cat then, it was just plain Scarlet) had sat in the garage for six months prior to me even starting it. Its been an awesome journey. Not over yet though!!

More updates!!!!

The guys continued on with the bodywork last weekend, and had the car in epoxy and sanded. Next week shall be more of the same with hi-fill and more sanding prior to the colour going on.

Its now straighter than when it left the factory - and looking so damn good!!

And here is the "Taj Mahal" for housing El Gato when the lads need to keep him incubated and dust free:

And finally side-profile - damn he looks sooooooooooo good - no seams and oh so straight!!

More later. A big thanks to Ashie and Hallsey for the excellent work they have done!

Cheers,
Tricky

Even more updates....

The lads sanded off the last of the epoxy yesterday:

And then on went four coats hi-fill (it might seem a bit boring but these are the steps you need to go through to get the bodwork perfect):

And while Ashie and Hallsey were doing the hard yards on the body, I was hard at it getting the front spoiler finished. I have now finally finished with the rough shaping and sanding and its now ready to recieve a few coats of hi-buld to get it super smooth. Then its off to the fibreglassers to get a mould made from this plug:

More later.

Cheers,
Tricky

Hi Forumites,

Some more progress on El Gato on the weekend. Ashy and Hallsey were hard at it again, and pumped out some brilliant, top-shelf work. Thanks guys, sincerely!!

The guys laid down on Sunday some colour in the interior, and yes its white! The exterior is now flat, smooth, faired and ready to receive colour! But, thats another story. So, without further adiue, here are some action shots from last weekend:

Wurth SKS applied to inside the boot, to keep road noise down and help stop drumminess and make the boot spill resistant:

And then some hi-fill on the inside:

Bodywork now completed, and ready t take the colour coats:

And then some colour on the interior:

And thats about all from this week.

Cheers,
Tricky
