i'm pretty sure some guy in uk did put a pulsar motor in a roundy. was in miniworld years ago. was yellow with blue stripes and the bonnet was pumped up like an xr8s. was NA though, not turbo. someone will have a copy of the issue somewhere.

on both mine and deans conversions both engineers used the finish weight for rego and the engineering papers. Mine was 740kg with all fluids and deans was 780kg.

Not sure if this is the way all engineers work so ask the one you are using before hand. In NSW you are allowed 2.5x the weight of the car for capacity with turbo. So my mini could have a 1.7L turbo motor.

That is with the weight it is now... In that page i posted up before its got a table of engine capacity limitations on like the 2nd or 3rd page.

more the merrier mate, 4efte is a great option for a mini, even in stock form there plenty hp for a quick streeter.

Keep an eye out soon, as i maybe making frames up soon for the conversions.

Largest N/A motor is 2000 cc which is 3 times the weight of 650kgs.

The turbo engines capacity is then a multiple of the 2000cc. I believe that a multiple of 1.3 is applied to the maximum n/a capacity. So 2000cc / 1.3 = 1540cc (or 1600cc).

Increase the weight of the car and that should theoretically facilitate increased engine capacity right?

Someone more cluey like Feralsprint will be able to give exact details or confirm my suggestions.

NSW rules i believe are as follows:

NA engines maximum capacity is 3 times the weight of the car

Turbo engines are 2.5 times the weight of the car.

So my rego papers for the 850 show it as being 620kg hence i can have a 1860cc NA or a1550cc Turbo.

I don't think that if you increase the weight of the car you can increase the engine displacement as they work of the original vechile specs??

Dont knock the humble E15.
They are a typical Nissan strong motor and get going really well, the problem lies with their gearboxes that are renowned to go kaboom.
My brothers Et with a T25G and microtech on 14 psi ran a 13.9 et !! and that was on a 180 00km engine.
It made 124kw @ the wheels in 4th gear similar to Brads 4fte!
