That's fantastic.

Have you looked at garagejournal.com? It's an amazing forum with lots of great ideas for making sheds practical etc.

Hi Guys,

THanks for the kind words!! The shed warming wont be too far away - I will announce a date in the near future.

Raisto - that would be two hammocks!

Mokesta - yep, good idea, but the scissor went yesterday. I need lots more blue pipe anyway. Simple to run anyway, around the perimeter, via a ladder.

Gordo - check! Have winch off the trailer.

Ryan - good idea mate, thanks!!

Will post pics of the floor when its done!!

Cheers all,
Tricky

Thanks Pete, come around for the shed-warming!

Hallsey - I can walk on it tomorrow, but to get the maximum hardness out of the urathane topcoat, it has to cure for four days. So, no moving in anything until mid-week.

As it stands now, I still have the mezzanine to complete, the electrical sub-mains to run, fitting off of the power circuits, the dividing walls to put in (machinery room, paint mixing room and between the hoist and the clean reassembly area). Then of course, the paint booth has to be installed. But, I can be up and running without the booth in.

So, in 2-3 weeks, it should all be done (maybe not the booth).....

Cheers,
Tricky

P.S. Comes with hammock!

Hey bro,

>Hoist ordered and paid for
>Compressor ordered and paid for

Should pick them both up this week. Then I have to order the steel for the mezzanine, the mezzanine floor, the MDF lining for the walls, the steel for the booth and the other dividing walls. The air lines need to be run and the dessicant filters installed, the air take-off points and the drains etc.

The electrics still have to be fitted off and the sub-mains run. Some of the other sheds benches need to be relocated - which means altering some to fit the space, and then discarding what I dont use. Then the mill, pedestal drill and lathe can be moved in along with the metal working machines like the english wheel, the shriner/stretcher, pan brake and bead roller. The parts washer and bead-blasting cabinet still have to be purchased.

As you can see, I still have a wee bit of work to do, to become fully operational. The booth itself will take two weeks to do!! However, I cant wait to start using it in anger!!

Cheers,
Tricky

P.S. Its a nice hammock too!

Hi Guys,

Quick update, the flooring is now completed and here are the pics....

Chris (the flooring guru, from Clean and Coat) decided that it would be a good move to do the floor in sections. Firstly, the epoxy base-coat goes down. In my case, with the colours I have chosen, a beige base-coat is required. Here Chris is applying the base-coat to quadrant 2, after puttting the paint flakes on quadrant 1:

Quadrant 1 with flakes on:

And here is the floor completed, with the two coats or polyurathane on. This is the toughest and hardest wearing urathane on the market. Because of the weather, one coat went on Friday, and one on Saturday:

Its quite a tactile surface, and a semi-gloss finish:

And a super close-up. Here you can see the individual paint flakes:

This product is the dukz nutz, and for anyone who has a worshop that wants a floor that is impervious to oil, grease, water and chemical resistant, this is the product. For thos of you who just want to give the garage a makeover, it looks fantastic and wears extremely well - like still looks just like new years and years later. If anyone is thinking of doing this, PM me, and I will give you Chris' number. He services from just over the border to the Burnett.

It has two thumbs-up from me, and is my product of the week!! :D

Cheers,
Tricky
