If its the factory part, I can look it up on the computers at work if someone doesnt let you know before then. I could even see how much its worth for you . |

That'd be great if you could. Went into cheapa auto spares across the road from work today (industrial estate and really only deal with trade) and they didn't have a listing for the 4efte only the 4efe and were unsure if they were the same... Any info greatly appreciated! |

Gordo, I checked with my Electrical parts supplier and he can get that O2 sensor. It is a one wire style. Let me know and I can get in a a day or two. Also I can get a good price and bring it up to you. Just check the wiring loom and confirm that it is a single wire and plug. |

Dan, Tricky rang me at one stage about this as I had a spare set with all my bits. I told him to give them to you - were those one of the sets that weren't suitable? At least you managed to get it sorted. I really hope it didn't cost you $500/side! |

Ends up being $100 a side and I might be able to sell the starlet shafts and outer cv's. He did give me a set, they're one pictured with the number 3 on them. Not real sure what they came out of though and were the smallest by far |

Fair enough. I have no idea where they came from either. Will be great to see your car on the road soon, even if it is your new one and not the van. |

Will be the new one first most definitely! Have ordered the guages and am just waiting for them to arrive. Then finishing up the wiring, finish putting it back together them off for a mod plate.... Sounds simple and hopefully won't take me too much longer. Will be a stay at home dad at the start of March with 2 under the age of 2 |

Hi Gordo, Those ones marked with a No.3 on them were from an Aussie Starlet (I think) - 4EFE - and the smallest diameter shaft and fine spline. The EP82 pre-1994 were larger shaft diameter, larger rollers and course spline. The EP91 (mine, and post '94) were slightly smaller rollers, but with the same diameter shaft as the EP82 but with fine spline. I have noticed quite a few differences between Nicks engine (EP82 4EFTE and pre-'94) and mine (EP91 Glanza Ltd and post '94) - tripots, distributor cap, wiring and electrics, gearbox etc... Dan, I am not planning on doing any 4k rpm launches etc. Others have proved how fragile the Starlet drivetrain can be when pushed beyond its design limits. So glad you sorted it out though and cheaper than expected - well done!! Cheers, Tricky |

So I have been trying to clean up my shed a little after camping at Easter... I've got to do it at night once the 2 kids and the mrs are in bed, IT'S THE ONLY TIME I GET TO MYSELF. Anyways I got most of the camping stuff away and moved on to one of hey work benches. I've been doing odd jobs lately and have just been piling everything on it and refusing to put it away. To make a longish story shorter I found buried half way down in the mess the gauges I'm going to use in the sedan and decided it was time to further install them. The dash was made by the previous owner I just had to add 2 extra holes as I'm running extra gauges. I personally wouldn't have set the dash out like this but it was already made and I'll change it if it annoys me that much. That and the dash is a horrible shape to work with Sorry for the dodgy pictures and yes the mess has even spilled onto the bonnet of the mini Ohh and while I was in the mini, I found the exhaust sensor on the floor. One less thing to worry about |
