There is a product you can use to treat the rust and then another product to coat the inside of the tank, cant think of the name of them but motor bike shops sell it for old bike tanks. Id say i will be doing something along those lines.

There is also a Redline repair kit, sold by motorbike shops- it's good too.

Hey guys sorry for lack of updates but slow and steady progress at the moment with a very limited budget. Ive got the engine bay ready to except the motor now.
All fuel lines, brake lines, frame and paint is done in the bay. Couple of pics to show the colour im going.
Should have the motor in this weekend and then i can finish the shell of ready for top coat.
