This is probably a better site to see about the twinky-->

http://www.users.bigpond.net.au/TheMiniMan/page2.html

but it`s even qute a few years old too

Horses you ask??? well a friend of mine has a Twinky well into the 200+hp mark at the moment & it`s still being played with & tuned & still gaining, there`s plenty of potential with these things, it`s like anything tho... just time & money

Dave Walker in the UK did a test on a BMW head conversion and a KAD conversion last year, on the dyno they both produced just over 200 neddies at the wheels (Turbo's) but he was surprised that the BMW conversion had a much better torque curve, much wider and flater than the KAD car. Dave owns and runs Emerald engineering and has been designig cams and doing head mods for longer than most of us have been breathing, they also make the emerald ECU which over there is highly regarde as good value for your buck

Hi "Is Vic there"... wiring of the turbo twinky Moke is nearly complete,,, fully adjustable suspension, inc hi-los on all 4 corners & adjustable front control arms, with vented 4 pot metro brakes have all just been fitted last week & now ready for a wheel alignment,,, I`ve repositioned the top rad inlet pipe, hose & thermostat housing assembly simply to make it neater & nicer both for asthetics & efficiency & all that`s worked out really well,,,
I`m now taking the fuel tank out cause it`s ll gungey & yukky from sitting so long but the hi pressure pump & filter is allready to go, but i`ll be making up a swirl pot for it next week & then we should be pretty ready to dump a computer map in there & have a play tuning it.

hope to have it all running & ready for Christmas,,, then you get to see & feel the horsies :-)

yeah it`s pretty well done,,, well at least all the 1275 stuff is there, finished & ready,

just the small bore engines that i`m doing are taking a little while longer to finish off than i expected & i really would like all that info & photos shoved in there to complete it before i let them out on the street,,,

There`s been 2 problems of late tho--> one is i`ve lunched yet another gearbox in my V8 kombi & had the last couple of weeks stuffing around fitting new Albins aftermarket race gear set into it... & also the turbo Twinky moke is still here getting even more goodies fitted & adding finishing touches so we can run it up on the dyno,,, things like having the fuel tank out being acid bathed, cleaned & coated etc & new map sensor & waste gate actuator, full exhaust system now done & a bit more wiring & plumbing etc etc etc... so the build guide has taken a back seat for a week or 2, but i`m back onto it tomorrow now that the kombi is back on the road (finished it just 5 mins ago) & the twinky moke should be getting it`s run up program dumped into it on thursday :-)

I do have a heap more pics & text ready to go onto the build guide tho , only a tad more bits to finish off & then we`re done... i won`t have the video ready till after the new year tho i`m sorry,,, I`ll make it an addition/update/suplimentry or something like that later on

I`ve just packed up & sent the last conversion kit from the first batch :-) all Gooone :-) But i`ve allready started making a new batch of 20x Kits,,, so anyone still interested in buying a kit will have to wait till the new year now.

Hey Matt was thinking the other day. Strangely enough it was a daewoo matiz that started the process.... hey thats a small car. Its got a small motor hasn't it?... 660cc. why would they bother? why wouldn't they fit a bike motor? man fitting a bike motor to a car would be fully sic. hey why can't I fit a bike motor to a mini...? oh, been down that road - emissions. I wonder if Matt's bike heads are unleaded? Surely you are effectively doing the same if they're unleaded.

So.. are they unleaded?

yeah, They all have hardened valve seats & they went even harder in about 1985 onwards too,,, so the answer is yes they`re all unleaded.

So people fitting unleaded heads (including mini heads) are fitting cat converters right?
