update time..

Spent the weekend getting the motor out, buying parts and got up to replacing the bearings on the motor.

The Goodies:
New hoses for the barrell connections

silicon for the turbo and water overflow:

New boost guage:

Iridium plugs:

Oil catch can:

Gates Timing Belt - T900R

PJ had a friend to help him through the surgery

Timing Belt on new motor

Motors and stuff

New Motor - The replacement

Bearings out of the old motor

Rod Cap

Cap off

Poping the old bearing out

Top bearing is out of the new motor - bottom is out of the old - New motor looks very good.

and again

New bearing

New Bearing, Bearing from replacement motor, Bearing from old deadish motor:

again:

getting the other half out

Assembly lube on new bearing:

Smearing it:

Placing in rod:

same for cap

Make sure the little notch faces the right way

Old sludgy pickup from old motor

New vs Old

Bearings galore

some drifting at the end

I've got the same timing belt for my project (when I get around to starting it).

Read the sticker at the top of the packet. Toyota Supra 1.3L 1990-93. hehehehe... Well now I'm confident it'll fit I was a little worried.
