Post subject:  Fuel lines

I have decided to put a rectangular fuel tank under the boot, with a stainless perforated sheild. I have some 5/16 NB hydraulic steel line here, can I use that as suppy and return lines? Too big or too small?

I used 5/16" for my vent line & 3/8" for the fuel & return
but that was to suit the 2L Subie. You might be OK with 5/16"

You need to match the size of the fuel tubing on the engine, or bigger.

found a site that said that 5/16 line was good for 350 hp..

After reading information on micra engines, they say that you can increase the power alot (15 kw) by adding 4-2-1 extractors and cold air intake. Then you need to do something with a line... kink it or something so that the engine does not run lean. Can i just increase the fuel pressure in the line by getting an adjustable fuel reg?
Ebay has oem vl turbo pumps for 90 bucks and adjustable regs for 132 bucks. Does that sound ok?
I dunno decisions decisions.

Cut a hole in the floor and drive around Fred Flintstone style..... I would consider that departure from normality equally challenging yet moderately amusing at the same time.

I ran two lines of 5/16 for the fuel and return lines should be more than enough for a 1.3 pretty much no matter what you do to it. here's a pic or two...
