I have found an importer to get the 1/2 cut
I have found a place to get the sub frame built
Still looking for disk breaks (any help on the disks would be great)

Should get the 1/2 cut in the next month or 2

Well Done RZ, the journey has started. Where are you located because having found a mob that will do a subframe you can put others in your area onto them? I finally put my engine in for the last time (no really!) this weekend so now I get to the fund stuff! 2 months and she should be running hopefully...

Do/would either of you two share designs of your subframe? I am pretty set on doing this conversion to my mini as well (78 Clubbie), just to give the V8 guys a bit of a scare. I understand if you don't want to there is a fair bit of time/money and work gone into it.

Also, apart from the Honda turbo, whay other brakes fit? I already have 12" wheels.

Sorry to be a bit off topic, but has anyone on this forum purchased the engine out of the "Brownster" starlet GT? Rumor has it, it was sold to a mini owner for $12K and has some MAJOR work done on it?

That sounds like it, that is going to be one scary mini once completed!

Has anyone in QLD done a Starlet conversion in QLD? If you'd add me to msn ([email protected]) for a few tips on who did your subframe/work etc. that would be awesome.

Thanks.

Icarus,

I am halfway through the Starlet conversion. The subframe is complete and the engine is in waiting for all the ancilliaries to be mounted so the Engineer can tick off.

Let me know if you want help.

Andrew
