Pays to get there early & check the lights before you go in first!

Good advice from the West  ...and jam those brakes on hard on the rollers ( 8) )....helps if the tyres fairly well scrubbed in....

See you on the road :!: :D

Funny story,

I took my 1600 over the pits when i installed a CA18 many years ago. The inspector told me to stand on the brakes which i did, he asked me again to stand on the brakes, at this stage i knew i had a problem because the brake pedal was hard up against the firewall?? I pumped the brake pedal and the inspeector passed me (without realising what had happen) I went home and looked over the brake system to find the master cylinder had begun to fail and i had an engine bay full of brake fluid. I suppose i was happy not to have lost the brakes all together and after i rebuilt the master cylinder i never had a problem.

Nah guys, a fail. But all is not lost, all the issues are very minor. The only fly in the ointment is that by cutting off the cowl for the original radiator i removed the chasis number so now i have to have the car ID checked as well. Even though it has been previously registered, and the chasis number appears on the compliance plate? V Strange. So I will fix up the small issues and I should be home free. One of the guys ended up asking me 20 questions about the car such as "Why'd you do it", which struck me as a pretty stange question. But anyway, I am feeling quite positive about the outcome and she should be registered by next week I would say.

Cheers
