Hey guys, thought i better get some consultation before i get too far into my conversion. Has anyone in Vic had their conversion engineered and registered and who did you use? Were they any good. I'm in Bacchus Marsh/Melton in the Western Suburbs but i dont mind if i have to travel. I've rang a couple on the VASS list but none seem too helpful. :x

Daniel.

Hey Daniel,

Sorry I don't know or can't recommend an engineer BUT do you know what the guidelines in Vic are for an engine swap? I tried a search on the vicroads site but found squat. I know Brad has put up here what is allowed in NSW but not sure about Vic.

Hi Steve,
what happened to Sash.
Thanks for finding this. About all it tells me is that you can put any motor in as long as it is the same age or newer but it might need a certificate.

I thought there might be more detailed guidelines for what is acceptable or not. From what this says I could put in a jet engine as long as it had the pollution gear and was same age or newer than my current A series. Somehow I don't like my chances of that. However it would be fun.
