heya all.... is it OK to use these sort of bends to make an inlet manifold - I'm going to (shut up Andy) use a pair of downdraft webers on my honda and I'm curious if they'd be OK, or I'd have rust problems.... or any other reasons not to. I really should just sort out how to weld stainless steel, but you know...

It's ok to use those but for an intake I'd just use madrel tube bends. Much lighter and smoother surface finish. See your local truck exhaust shop for the Fleetline catalogue.

sigh... you're not meant to say that.... cos then I'd be welding thin stuff and I'd have to learn to weld properly and I'd have to get a decent mig as well as my trusty monster arc welder and my crap little gasless mig, and I might as well be using stainless mandrel bends.... see, I'm a slacker, and a cheapskate!

Works fine. And even webbers are a damn sight lighter than a decent size turbo...
