Im keen to start a project and Im thinking about getting a moke and puting a Swift GTI in it. Does anyone know the physical size of the GTI engine and the engine bay of the moke and can anyone also tell me if the GTI will go into the moke without too much modification to the engine bay? |

I rection Mokesta or Gazza could answer that pretty quickly. |

I don't think the G13B will fit a Moke without either making a very close-fitting exhaust manifold or modifying the intake. Moke engine bays are shorter front to back than even roundies. The other problem is that the cam wheels may end up sticking out of the engine bay into the area above the driver's side wheel arch. You know, I've got a G13B on a stand not more than 2 metres away from my Moke. If I wasn't bone idle, I'd measure it up. Maybe on the weekend... If you're in Bris (update your details to include your location please) you can come around & see for yourself. M |

I dunno ![]() I've got one here too, and a couple of mokes... reckon it should fit with a bit of effort? (mind you, I have the reverse Cultus inlet manifold) Will be interested in those measurements Mokesta... |

Remember also that the headlight buckets on a Moke protrude into the engine bay. This doesn't help! However, since all the front panels on a Moke are flat, it should not be hard for a competent welder to stretch the front a couple of inches. It would not look obvious either. Some day I want to do a conversion on my Moke. There is a 1300cc Micra with just 100,000km on the clock sitting on top of another car in my local wreckers. The motor looks more compact than a G13B. It's tempting me... ![]() |

Bore and Stroke 71x80.5 mm Power 55 kW Torque 103 Nm The CVT is interesting, but with 50% more power the Suzi is the clear choice |

If ya like I could get in touch with the guy I bought my car off. His next plan was to fit the G13B into his moke. Hes done GTi into Clubby and Roundie. Moke was next. |

What is Con up to GTi? Last I heard he sold his Bullet and his WRX. His son still has the MX-5 though?? Yep, an extended front on a Moke would be simple and hardly noticeable. M |

My thinking with the 1275cc micra engine was to use it as test bed for the conversion. Then swap to the import Micra Super-Turbo 970cc engine later. That engine bolts into a Micra and has a supercharger and turbocharger. Should be fun in lightweight Moke. But no time to attempt it! |

The lexus with the supercharger I think. The Bullets are not much chop IMO. Some poor design and the DOT cripled them by making them have a full chassis to comply with the stupid ICV / low volume rules. They ended up heavy and with WAY less power than the advertising material suggested. I saw one run on the Mercury Motorsport dyno at an MX-5 day and it was well below expectations. Bad inlet, no intercooler. M |

M Heck of a shame, it looked like a promising package putting 300 horses into what is a exceptional handling, grosely under-powered car (mx5). |

M i have to get in touch with him bout my car. yeah I believe he sold em both. shame, nice STi WRX and the bullet. **drools** ill ask him how hes going with the moke. the reason he sold my car, was to make room in the garage for the moke to come out of storage. so hopefully its be in progress already |
