Post subject:  nose jobs - 4efte

Hi All,
Very new to the mini scene so sorry for any dump questions i ask. More into the hotrods and have just finished putting a lexus/toyota (1UZ v8) in a rod. With that on the road a new project had to be found. So what better then a mini! Been reading this site for a few months now. Awesome - so much info!!

Just bought my new project, one very rusty 77 mini. Someone has done a nose job on it (as round's stoped in OZ start of 70s????).

Anyway, my question is since it has had a round nose front put on will a 4EFTE still fit?

In short, yes the motor can fit. A front mount radiator and intercooler, however, might not.

There's a very nice green 850 Mini owned by a member on here who might be able to give you some more info. I'm sure he'll see this thread and pipe up.

Welcome to Ausmini forum Mick.

As per Slinks reply, yes, there are quite a few 4EFTE done both here and in NZ.

Dont forget to ask questions if you need to.

Cheers,
Tricky

Thanks guys. I have alot of rust to cut out, so once that is done i'll start on shoe horning a 4efte into it.
Until then i'll keep reading and learning.
