hey guys just thought i would let everyone know about my clubman project. as heading says a swift gti motor with a small turbo setup (8psi). http://www.redlinegti.com/forum/gallery ... um_id=1407 just to emphasize i am not the builder, red89gti (jason) has done some work on my swift gti previously and talks were underway about putting his gti turbo setup into a mini... some online searching, a 78 clubman and a donor swift gti later and here we are. ive driven this turbo setup in red89gti's swift'' and with the mini weighing about 150kg's less, needless to say im pretty keen also cramming into the mini... half cage swift adjustable column custom made inlet manifold top mount intercooler remote brake booster 7.5" front disc setup full 2 1/4" exhaust, hi flow cat etc... swift gti tank 2 all black autotechnica reclinable seats defi boost, oil temp and pressure guages pioneer head unit and 6x9s mat black ultralight 13x7s hopefully up and running soon |

Some nice work there ![]() You will sure need some good rubber to put that power to the ground, and I'm a fan of 13x7"s. Does your engineer not require you to have vented discs? Might be easier for you to use the Metro turbo 8.25" setup. |

yeah ive been thinking about tyre choice, i know the owner of a bobjane outlet he can get me yokohama's (dont know exact type) for 125 a tyre fitted and aligned. but as for the discs ill have to check with the builder he's been talking with the engineer. |

I would definatly check out what brakes you are required to run... I think as said vented ones are needed and a dual master system setup is also required?? |

Wow that's quite a unique way of mounting the brake booster ![]() I take it you're not using the standard Mini heater matrix becaue you've blocked off the holoes in the bulkhead for the hoses. Erm - and what about the clutch master? |

dammit!.. you beat me to it.. ![]() Originally I wanted to use a clutch mater and a slave and mount the slave so it will actuate the booster from the back. This way I can mount it ANYWHERE I want, but the engineer told me the pedal HAS to have a direct mechanical link to the brake master otherwise it defeats the purpose of having 'dual' circuit system. good job though.. looks very neat and tidy Cheers |
