Post subject:  Suzuki G13A & G13B differences

So what are the differences between the two engines? They look identical, the two I have each came from Sierra 4x4's, their both SOHC, the only difference I've seen externally is the G13B is a 1293 cm3 and the G13A is 1324 cm3.
So can anyone tell me if the stroke or the dimensions of the blocks are different, also do the bolts for the sump and gear box in different locations?
The engine/s will be for this project

Obviously I'd like to use the G13A seeing as it has an extra 31 cm3 in it but if for some reason I don't know yet the other is better well......

I meant it as Single Over Head Cam as opposed to the Suzuki swift GTI twin cam G13B engine.
Both of these engines in question I have only have one cam.

Different crank, rods and pistons.

The G13a is to suzuki as the clubman is to the mini family, of little value.

As JC said, but remember that Clubbies are good for parts.

The G13B and G13BA blocks are virtually identical except for the markings. The A cranks/rods/pistons are not built to rev, and have a longer stroke (which probably suits a sierra better).

G13A - SOHC 8v, commonly found in the Suzuki Sierra - North/South
G13B - DOHC 16v, commonly found in the Suzuki Swift/Gti - East/West
G13BA - SOHC 8v, commonly found in the SJ80 Sierra (96 onwards), simmilar to G13A except for their annoying habbit of splitting #3 piston at around 120,00kms old. I had one of these in my Sierra and it left me in a very lonely part of Australia with only 3 cylinders. North/South
G13BB - SOHC 16v, MPFI, commonly found ripped apart and all the good bits stuffed into random Sierras across the world. North/South

G13BA SOHC 8V most commonly found in Suzuki Swift GA or Cino, Holden Barina - East/West.

The blocks are interchangeable, you can put the good bits from a G13B onto a G13BA (i.e. 16V head, crank, rods, pistons). Note that engine mounts, sumps and ancilliaries can change depending on the model the engines were sourced from.
