can anyone tell me if the 4efte auto will fit in a round nose mini,or is the trans to big.

Nope, won't fit.

Roundnose or clubman matters not. if you could figure out a way where the passenger side suspension tower and lower arm didn't need to be there you might be able to make it work...

Simple, mount the engine and box North-South and line the drive shafts up in the center tunnel and have a diff in the front and the rear. 160-200bhp ATW and AWD :twisted:

Do keep us up to date with what you find out though Peter. I was always found of an auto converted mini.

Actually Peter if you eyeball one and can offer it up to a mini frame I wonder if you could cut away the tower, maintain the mount point on of the top arm and just run some coilovers in the front.

And where would you get 1:1 ratio diffs from???

not sure if u could tilt the motor forward a bit ? and who knows unless we try.

Just build new suspension pickups for it, could very simply make an a arm setup that mounts elsewhere
