210 BHP is pretty serious? I'd be interested in seeing what the overall cost of your conversion would be,compared to the cost of a major, major performance upgrade to an A series.Would you get anywhere near 210BHP with an A series without a supercharger? (Lets use genuine HP numbers here  )

I think you'll find the most you'd reasonably expect out of a worked, naturally aspirated A series is somewhere around the 150HP mark (That's flywheel, not wheels).

If you want major performance, I reckon a conversion is the best bang for buck. Spend 8 to 10 grand on a new engine conversion and you'll get around that HP (but at the wheels), a 5-speed box and modern car reliability.

To get 150 HP out of a Mini engine you'd probably have to spend around that amount anyway IMO.

To each their own, but when I have some cash I know what my little priject will be

To answer you question.
With out a exact price on the drive shafts.

I estimate the cost of the kit will be about $800 to $1500 (not including the vtec $1650 to $3000 for a half cut). With an exchange of subframe.

The kit will be for a clubman at first because of the small amount of modification to the car. And maybe a round nose later harder to fit and make it road legal.

yeah would like to know more bout the kit when you finish it.

I want the reliability of a modern engine, and was looking into the kit from geoff watson (uk) but not sure if there are compatability issues with aussie model.
