I wound it down for the pic, but it should handle best with the font lower suspension arms at parallel with the ground. Rears a tiny bit higher.

They are just the kit wheels and tyres. The sticky slicks are still in bags and will come out when I decide to start racing.

Will be at Hay if I can find my charger. Wasn't in the box with everything else after the move. PITA if I can't find it, but no stress, as I'll probably go LiPo, and my charger don't do LiPo.

Yeah im thinking 11.1 v lipo and brushless conversion sometime, thing will be a rocket with that in it. An 11.1 lipo would cook the standard motor. If yours had T connectors on the battery id be able to charge it there, i have spare connectors if you like, they let more amps through without getting hot.

Power wise, mine is stock. Still the silver can motor, though with an ESC and ball bearings (first mod you should do to one of these is put ball bearings through the gearbox and on the wheels).

Mines stock too except for a 4000mAh battery, aftermarket wheels/tyres and stronger front susp arms.

I'll bring some spare wires for my charger, it can do anything between lipo and pB, up to 3A output.

Mines got... So far...

Tamiya ESC
Ball bearings throughout
Tamiya TRF shocks and springs (these things are as good as anything you get in RC)
Tow in rear uprights (not the fancy blue alloys)

Have but not on yet...
3x sets Tamiya racing wheels
Various different compound tyres
Tamiya Titanium turnbuckles for steering arms
There is a Tamiya quick release battery kit coming, though won't use it most likely, we'll see how it goes with lipos

My steering servo is about as humble as it gets.

Now here is the hot tip. I have one of these radios. http://www.flysky-cn.com/eShowProducts.asp?id=44

Comes with a receiver and can be had, sent to your door for under $50 off eBay. If these had a brand name badge on em, and cost you 4 times as much, I would still be amazed by it. I also believe you can get the 3ch one, which you can program and save setting for multiple cars for under $70!

Will buy the hobbywing 13T 3000kv 30A brushless motor and ESC kit after I've done a bit of propper track stuff. It's the homologated set up for the Mini class along with a set of universals to replace the dog bone drive shafts.

They say that's really all you need to have to win. Bearings, shocks (don't need the fancy TRF ones, but man they are a nice bitta kit) motor/ESC, uni's and the right tyres.

And upgrade them tacky battery connectors, they are as bad as scotch locks for a high power setup.

The motor you plan to use can draw 30A burst, a lipo will easily supply this, those crappy clips will be like a kinked water hose.

I got 10 sets of these for about $6 off ebay.

LiPo's commonly use a banana connectors straight in to pack. I believe you can get LiPo's in the same shape as the old conventional cell packs... so you're not shoving a square peg in a round hole.
