My mate came out to NZ from the UK for a holiday at Christmas and gave me this (sorry for the poor quality pics):

It was only while I was thanking him for it (a little gob smacked) that he realised it was gold plated. Needless to say it's gone straight to the pool room and will probably only come out for state visits and the like.

I think he felt a little indebted to me as for his 40th I got him a superb 1:32 scale model of a NZ police car, in which the detail was incredible: accurate light bar, radio aerial, correct windscreen stickers and even a scale NZ Police cap with the checkered band etc. Honestly, the detail was unbelievable (made by Small Torque models), but all up I think I got the better deal.

I wish that I could find one to buy haven't seen one in the flesh yet they look like a very nice model to have in a collection

I got the last of Wattos in Melbourne last December.
