Not a big fan of the cruise control. Difficult to tell what speed you are set to and the speed fluctuates all over the place in mine.

Where abouts do you get your mini serviced?...Are you a strict BMW mini garage....or just your run of the mill mechanic?

Tricky

My Cooper is serviced at Doncaster MINI. It has been relatively pain free so far :D

Whats your thougts on cruise control on manuals?.....(sorry I know this isnt about servicing but its still about the yellow mini) :)

The only manuals I have driven with cruise control are trucks and they are OK. I would think that a car would be no problem at all.

Don't want to shock you , but have you checked the price of BMW cruise? If you need a new steering wheel, it was $2 - 3k last time I asked.

Don't worry Chris have already checked that out with Meneres and Bib's....and although scary at $1860.00 its not as bad as your thinking, I have an 02 so will be the same style steering wheel only with multi function.

Also, be aware, I have heard of problems with retrofitting cruise on early models.

Sorry to be the bearer of bad news

i went and had a look on the weekend and yeah about 450-650 depending on what level of service. But their reasoning is that you only need to service it once a year (25000 intervals) and so doesn't need to be serviced as much as other cars which need it done every 10000.
