Not that i really know what it was. But i was the 3rd or 4th person to drive it i think. It had 88km, when i started on the clock, and i was driving when it clocked up the 100 km. It was the 1st time i have driven a turbo'd car also . And the 1st time i have touched or sat in a bmw mini.

They are actually great and they do win at everything, except for being old?

So someone should find me one.

I wish I now had said yes when they had offered me a test drive, but after seeing the new model I think I would prefer a supercharged Cooper S, Tony :D

I have had one for a week while my supercharged BMW mini was being fixed up and I wasn't that impressed. They are really fast in a straight line but the handling and driving feel has gone, it is more like a car I would give to my grandma.

Some pics of the new one I have had:

Sorry about the quality I took them with my phone.

R53 supercharged (L x W x H): 3655 x 1925 x 1416 mm
R56 turbo charged (L x W x H): 3714 x 1912 x 1407 mm
They made it a little longer, a little narrower, a little lower and it weighs 10Kgs less. :P

If that's the case there were a lot of innacurate predictions made before the release as nobody had the dimensions but most magazines etc predicted it would be bigger . I guess it's the old first law of journalism again , "never let the truth get in the way of a good story ..."
