so we can quate in saying that clubmans are BEEP - but we all knew that - except for BEEP owners

18. Any posts referring to roundies , clubbies or Bini's as "ugly front" etc or not being real mini's will be edited or deleted at the mods discression . Play nice people , just because someone elses mini isn't your preference doesn't give you the right to insult it .

i've seen the new clubman. would look better without the third door. it was almost next to a new mini cooper s (one car away) and i have to say the comparison of them look nice. it kind looks like the two older versions next to eachother... only modern. so in conclusion

by themselves (in my opionion) they don't look good and disrespect the classic look... however together they look cool and pay respects to there classics elders.

but I wasnt talking about the old clubbies - I think they are fine - its the new clubbies that look BEEP. The rules only cover Clubmans not Bini Clubmans - they arent covered in the rules.

A new BMW Mini Clubman is still a BMW Mini (Bini)

How can I be insulting anybody when nobody on here can own one - they arent on sale here yet - when somebody on here buys one I will stop insulting them - until then I will continue to express my opinion. The new BMW Mini Clubman is ugly.

I am only insulting the car, as there arent any owners in Australia, I cant be insulting them. So I am being censored because I insulted a car that nobody owns yet. What we are doing is ensuring that BMW will never make an ugly Mini whether it is or not. The new four wheel willl not be ugly even though it appears quite foul - because I wouldnt be allowe dto say that.

no it is not a BMW Mini its a BMW Mini Clubman - obviously

When minis were made they were far from politiclly correct - I am just continuing the theme.

how can you be insulting one when you haven't seen one in the metal, driven one or owned one yourself? all you know of the car is from photos and reviews.

that is your opion though i guess and we shall respect that... however uninformed and untested

do you have to have seen the elephant man in the flesh to know he was deformed? do you have to have seen the Mona Lisa in person to know she has a secret smile? doubting Tomas

i to belived that the MINI ''CLUBMAN'' was ugly aswell, all i'd seen it in were photos though. but once i saw it out of the showroom, out of the perfect sterile environment of a photo studio...
once i saw it out on the street with all the other common cars, covered in the same grime as the next vehicle, parked in the same parking spots, out in the real world. my view on the looks of the MINI CLUBMAN changed. in real life the car stands it's ground and looks good on the street.

do you have to taste a wine first before you know you like it? do you have to watch a movie first before you know you like it?
(with these statements it is like comparing the cost of milk with the cost of petrol, they are different and irrellevant situations)

but we have all heard your opion ''the new mini clubman is ugly'' and we have all heard mine ''before you completely shun it, see it out on the street''

seeing an ugly car on the street with all the other cars, just makes it common, dirty and ugy -

as for wine - I have good idea if I am going to like wine based on where it comes from, what kind of grape is used and year - this allows me to form opinions that helps avoid the bad ones - and I even try things completely new but mstly I am disappointed with those.

As for movies based on the actor ,the director, the writer and the theme I can have good idea whether a movie is crap before I take it out the cover.

The mini clubman its like a dog turd fruit cake, most of the igredients are great but then some bright spark decides that a fresh warm marrowbone laden retriver donation will improve it all - if you are unsure and want to taste it first be my guest.

Sure you cant judge a book by its cover, but if somebody has wiped there basksides with it, I not going to read it.
