Hi
I dont know if this has been talked about but being a person
that owns the older type mini

has much been said on here about the new 50th models
like The Mini 50 Mayfair

http://www.autoblog.com/2009/05/22/mini ... ny-cuddly/

Just wondered what people thought and when are they going to be ready in Aus

Also new mini's are they just as fun?

Cheers :D

Just like the original minis of the eighties, the special edition cars just don't seem all that special in my opinion.

if you want a hatchback , then buy a hatchback....but for me I'd save the money and buy a rice burner or other hot hatch. Cheaper to buy, cheaper to insure, cheaper to fix......why pay a premium for a BMW product when in reality they are no better than anyone of dozens of hatches flooding the car market?
Are they better to drive? Driven several including a Works version and to be honest I felt that the Clio RS183 was nicer and at 20% less price wise. But nothing will ever replace the sheer joy of driving the real thing. Sure they may have less power but nothing beats ton-ing it up with your butt 4 inches of the ground!

hey guys we just recieved a 50th mini in the other day, it has a sd card reader in the dash, it comes with a mini sd and on it has all these sayins, so the car talks to you while you drive lol.
its weird like it says things like

"hello welcom"

"hey engine and transmission how are you"
"not warm yet so just take it easy".

"since you have your window down and the a/c on it might be more enviromentally friendly if you turn the a/c off or wind up the window up"

"lets mini"

its so funny!!!
