How much on average are servicing costs on a supercharged S roughly?

Theres different service types. A service type 1 is about $400, a service type 2 about $800. Service intervals are 25,000 kms / once a year, though it doesn't hurt ofcourse to do them more often. (those prices are BMW).
Like any other car you could do it yourself or get a non bmw place to have a look its upto you.

I will probably try doing it myself as i have done that on all my other cars, and the bini would be out of warranty anyway i guess....

The main reason BMW are expensive is they charge $180 per hour labour.
They're good, but as I'm finding the more I look into it it's the (not BMW themselves) BMW specialists and MINI workshops that are much cheaper and more comprehensive in the work they do.

For example: I rang BMW to get a quote to change an engine component. They didn't call back, but another BMW dealer I rang did help and they said it would be $800 minimum.

Then I rang another independent workshop that specialise in beemers, his quote was less than $400 for the same job, but more importantly to me they guy knew what he was talking about, mentioned some extra things he'd do for me and recommended some things that should also be done.

I have had my car done at BMW before and though it was expensive, they were very good with how things were done. Regularly calling with updates and costs, asking if I want this fixed or that fixed, warnings for what to keep an eye on, washed, vacuumed the car, gave me a brand new 1 series sport wagon to drive for the day and the end bill was still less than the initiaal quote. For the major services I get BMW to do it, but for just an oil change I'll do it myself or get some other Joe to do it for me that's cheaper.
