If you also hold the unlock button it'll put the windows down and open the sunroof if fitted, in a MINI.

If you have your windows down on your MINI and you lock the doors with the key twice, it will put the windows up? Discovered that today after losing the central locking key... $600+ to replace it. |

The wife's Golf does the same. What is even handier on a hot day is pressing and holding the unlock button a second time will wind the windows down so the hot air is gone before you even get to the car. |
