ahoy lads and ladettes,i have an 06 bini,cooper s.thought i would share some,what appears common woes with you guys.i have had to replace the drivers side engine hydraulic dampner,due to an oil leak in the unit,and replace 2 oil seals in the heat exchanger,also due to an oil leak.in short chaps,these two oil leaks are common in a bini thats over 6 years old,it pays to keep an eye on these two items,the hydraulic dampner i sourced from the US,half the price of what brissy bmw wanted to charge...go figure.anyway all fixed,lots of swearing,but she is oil tight,do love this car,but its 6 years old,and im having these problems.i think it just wants to be like my other classic mini,s grrrrrr.cheers andy.. |

Having had a Bini for two years I learned one thing: buy it new so you have a warranty, or don't bother at all. |
